We live in times of confusion. Modern science seems to have made religion redundant. Yet many people stick to it by conviction and can well explain their motives, also among the highly educated. Especially in the Islamic community. I want an answer to some questions, mainly: is there any truth in the Muslim claim that Qur’an is ‘scientifically true’? Could it be, as it’s enemies claim, ‘a copy’ of Greek, Persian or even other scriptures? Can Muslims learn any lesson from another religion or idea?
All of this sent me on a voyage of which the end isn’t in sight yet. I’ll try to answer as objectively as I can.
The Holy Qur’an itself, dr Maurice Bucaille’s book ‘Bible, Koran and science’ and the strong conviction of my fellow Muslims are examples I look at.
